The Riveter

The Riveter is a venture-backed female-forward co-working space and community that grew from Seattle into multiple states and locations. The next logical expansion for their community was into the digital space, a path we helped them navigate.

Our team built a social networking app written in React Native for both iOS and Android. We used ReactJS to build the same experience for the web, designed responsively to run on both desktop and mobile browsers. In addition, we constructed a scalable backend server in Laravel with a MySQL database to serve as a unifying API layer for all platforms. To protect access to the physical spaces, we built a series of physical kiosks that allowed users to use the app to scan into the spaces.

On the marketing side, we also built and full integrated a WordPress marketing site alongside their co-working management software.

Ceevra

Ceevra is an advanced 3D visualization technology for surgeons. Using AI and other innovative computing techniques, Ceevra generates brilliant 3D digital models from standard CT scans and MRIs. Surgeons use the Ceevra 3D models to help educate and counsel patients, to decide on the best surgical approach, and to gain important insights while operating. They came to us to redesign and build their web presence.

Association Evaluation

This startup came to us with their idea to build a "credit report, but for homeowners associations" and enlisted our help building it out into a product. We helped to create the algorithm which determines the "credit score" (currently patent pending), and built the web application which takes users’ orders and payments, manages those orders within a staff administration section, then assembles and delivers the custom generated PDF order automatically back to the user.

In addition to this most critical web-based application, we also designed and built the publicly accessible marketing site in WordPress.

CharacTour

Having already constructed a site and algorithm that matched users to entertainment characters and titles, CharacTour approached us about building a social network around their core offering. Using Laravel, we built a scalable web application and endpoints for their app to allow users to connect and share reviews and content on the platform.

Since then we have continued to improve upon their algorithms (one patent has been issued, with another pending), added features to the site, and assisted their research partners at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University to publish an academic study in Psychological Science based on the data generated from the platform.

Brew Camp

This startup homebrew shop had very specific needs when it came to point-of-sale. They had multiple brick and mortar locations and wanted to expand their offering into e-commerce. Users needed to be able to see what was in stock at any given store, assemble recipes online for their home-brewed beer, (sometimes with small bulk-style quantities) and purchase online for pickup or delivery.

We built them a custom web-based point-of-sale system with integrated e-commerce so that inventory and ordering were all in one place. In addition, we built a marketing site and an event system that allowed users to register for and purchase classes online.

Spry Life

As a dietary supplement company with a narrow product offering, Spry Life was a fairly straightforward e-commerce project with a few special requirements. Users needed to be able to purchase a subscription to a product (in addition to spot purchases), and shipping needed to be calculated accurately even for international customers.

By using off-the-shelf tools like WordPress and Woocommerce, we were able to provide all the features they required without the cost and complexity of a custom build.
